Open Mon-Tue from 8.00 am to 15.15 pm

The ingredients and products needed in the training kitchens, professional skills lessons and in restaurant Perho are fetched from the central storehouse. One student on the training kitchen 1 shift and on the restaurant shif works in the central storehouse.

The students learn to recognize the foodstuffs, to organize and maintain order, to self-supervise, unload deliveries, clean storage facilities for dry and cold goods, receive goods, check delivery notes, and use raw materials economically.

All products that are ordered and fetched from the storehouse are marked on an ordering form. Books are kept on all products and goods that are or have been in the storehouse.

Occasionally students need to go to special shops to buy products that are not available in the wholesaler’s. The central storehouse staff advises and guides the students on the availability, purchase places and prices of these products.
